About Us
Save Our Bluffs is a 501(c)(3) organization comprised of local long time residents dedicated to preserve this magnificent entrance into our community - our Gateway to Encinitas. This property has been targeted for a variety of commercial and higher density projects by developers over the past 30 years, and we and many other of our advocate groups have been working during thi time to safeguard this precious and sensitive land.
Our support group includes many Encinitas residents who join together with a goal to preserve and protect the diverse coastal habitat and open space in all of Encinitas. Now we are actively working to secure the funds to purchase and preserve the bluff property for the benefit of our community and for future generations to come.
We have partnered with the Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation, North County Advocates, the Leucadia-Encinitas Town Council, the Encinitas Resident's Alliance and other organizations to protect the bluff property from development, and are working towards the goal of permanent preservation.
